With my sis in town we couldn’t pass up a traditional Khantoke dinner. It’s pronounced can-toke but we called it can-toke-ee as we made plans to go. …so the name stuck. Plus, we think it’s more fun to say!
It began with a family-style meal of an assortment of typical Thai dishes while a small band played Thai tunes. And then there were a handful of ancient Thai dances performed – each in different garb. It concluded with an invitation for dinner guests to join in on one of the dances. Amy went for it!
Here’s a neat little video (not ours) that captures one of the performances: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOgqmFffCNo
