Home Sweet Home

Piper has been home well over a week now. And it’s good. She’s eating well. Pooping well. Sleeping well. We’re pretty content not asking much more of a one month old. …especially one that we couldn’t even ask to go #2 for the first week or so. Thank you for praying her home. And thank you for loving on us during her …

Piper’s Surgery and Recovery Updates

Hi there. We’ve shared quite a few updates with friends, family, supporters, strangers, etc in our Facebook group these last few weeks. And we’re endlessly thankful for the flood of prayers and love for her and us. It’s seriously been overwhelming in the best way at times. Thankful tears to balance out those heart-hurting tears. That’s a beautiful gift. Anyway, …

The Arrival of the Littlest Elliott

She’s here! Piper Asia Elliott made her debut quickly, smoothly and naturally at 39 weeks and 6 days. One day shy of 6 weeks after the polyhydramnios diagnosis when we were told to anticipate her at any moment. Weighing in at a bitsy 5 pounds and 15 ounces, we’re now quite thankful for the growth that happened every last uncomfortable …

Grace Senior Carnival

Grace held its annual senior carnival last weekend, and the theme was super heroes. Paxton was asked to dress up as Baby Jack Jack  with The Incredibles group. We obliged. They threw him in some red and got his hair to stick straight up. He had a blast.

Pregnancy Happenings: Bringing Baby Elliott Home

Us again. Us standing together as the smoke clears and the dust settles, holding all that’s left intact of our plan: Bring Baby Elliott home. The ultrasound results were anti-climactic. The session was actually cut short because I started to feel faint. They had me lying on my back so the full weight of Baby, belly and all was on …

Balance Biking!

Brian and Paxton recently had a Daddy Son Adventure weekend while I attended a (really, really fantastic) art retreat. One of the days they went into the city for a bike festival. They stumbled upon this adorable balance bike course. Pax was still a little too small for the bikes but with Dad’s help, he. loved. it.

Pregnancy Happenings: Healing Baby Elliott

I thought I was feeling like most pregnant women in the third trimester – huge and less-than-comfortable. I’d heard enough women talk about how different each of their pregnancies were that I’d simply concluded that Paxton was an easy carry. This babe is not. But that’s totally manageable because it means that this babe will be an easy first year, …

Grace Girls Basketball

Brian has been co-coaching the U12 (under 12) girls basketball team this semester. These girls have improved sooooo much in the last many months. Proud of them and the hubs for all their hard work! Paxton and I often come to watch their games. They’re a blast to watch and the girls adore having him around.

Paxton’s First Steps!

Paxton took his first steps on Monday morning! It was soooooo cute. He’s been cruising and working on his standing balance for months now. We figured it was any day, and I’m so thankful it was early enough in the morning that Brian was still home. This video is his third go at taking several steps from couch to couch. …
