Rainy Season Flooding

It’s been raining a lot this week and this is what the entrance to Grace International School has looked like the past couple days. They said it was even worse this morning so they cancelled school! Since school was cancelled it provided me with some time to have some fun playing in the water and mud with Pax and Piper …

Family Run Fun

The four of us enjoyed a nice morning run race recently. This looked like 12K of good conversation with a wonderful friend for me while Brian pushed about 70lbs of sleeping little ones in our double stroller. And there were hills! Steep ones. Typically I push the stroller while he takes off for the lead so this was quite the …

Piper Health Updates

Two days before leaving for America we had a follow-up appointment with Piper’s surgeon and a pediatric doctor. Here’s the happenings following information relayed during that appointment: March 24th Piper Update/Urgent Help Request: We had a check-up two days ago with our surgeon and pediatrician. They think our daughter Piper probably has Cystic Fibrosis because she was born with meconium ileus, …

Piper’s Surgery and Recovery Updates

Hi there. We’ve shared quite a few updates with friends, family, supporters, strangers, etc in our Facebook group these last few weeks. And we’re endlessly thankful for the flood of prayers and love for her and us. It’s seriously been overwhelming in the best way at times. Thankful tears to balance out those heart-hurting tears. That’s a beautiful gift. Anyway, …

Grace Senior Carnival

Grace held its annual senior carnival last weekend, and the theme was super heroes. Paxton was asked to dress up as Baby Jack Jack  with The Incredibles group. We obliged. They threw him in some red and got his hair to stick straight up. He had a blast.

Balance Biking!

Brian and Paxton recently had a Daddy Son Adventure weekend while I attended a (really, really fantastic) art retreat. One of the days they went into the city for a bike festival. They stumbled upon this adorable balance bike course. Pax was still a little too small for the bikes but with Dad’s help, he. loved. it.

Grace Girls Basketball

Brian has been co-coaching the U12 (under 12) girls basketball team this semester. These girls have improved sooooo much in the last many months. Proud of them and the hubs for all their hard work! Paxton and I often come to watch their games. They’re a blast to watch and the girls adore having him around.

Paxton’s First Steps!

Paxton took his first steps on Monday morning! It was soooooo cute. He’s been cruising and working on his standing balance for months now. We figured it was any day, and I’m so thankful it was early enough in the morning that Brian was still home. This video is his third go at taking several steps from couch to couch. …

Paxton The Lion

One of Paxton’s favorite books is just a few short pages of cartoon-ish animals. I always make the accompanying sound (appropriate if you’re me, mixed up if you’re Brian – e.g. meow for a cow or Loch Ness Monster for a fish ). Oh the teasing. But anyway, Pax latched onto the lion and does a mean impression. I could …
