Here’s a fun little project I’ve been dreaming of for months.
One of Brian’s colleagues at Grace helped us get the bamboo sticks. And then there’s this huge fabric market in the city that Paxton and I explored for our material. Brian did the threshing (the top wrapping of the sticks together) with some string I bought from a family who was leaving Thailand a while back. I punched a few holes in the fabric to shoelace-style tie the ends together at the top. The colorful dangle was a little keychain I bought last year and has taken on many purposes (toy for Pax, bag decor and now teepee decor!) And lastly, the sweet little banner was made by a dear friend for Paxton’s baby shower last year. She sewed his full name but it wouldn’t all fit so I did a little banner surgery.
I enjoy so much that I still get to craft and create here. It’s not quite as 1-2-3 as running to Michaels, Jo-Ann, Hobby Lobby or the like, but I’m thankful. I find much joy in creating a fun, colorful, hand and heart made space of our home.
